Instead of pursuing adrenal investigation, Abernathy implied Nicole’s symptoms were psychosomatic, contributing to a psychiatric redirection effort already in motion.
🔒 Patient-reported lab values never documented
In July 2021, Nicole told the office her April labs included a renin level. The nursing note says:
“TSH that was too low and my renin level was...” — and then ends.
The actual renin level (0.17) and aldosterone (7) were never documented, despite being medically crucial.
📬 Received and ignored Liberty ER records (Aug 17, 2021)
Polyuria (3,500 mL urine/24h)
Clean drug/tox panel (except THC)
Imaging consistent with systemic adrenal issues
Genetic cancer concerns noted — never acted on
🚪 Patient left without being seen (June 25, 2021)
Nicole attempted to follow up but left the office without evaluation. No follow-up efforts were made by Abernathy’s team.

🧪 Evidence of Avoidance:

July 21, 2021 – Nicole sent reference cutoff ranges for renin to demonstrate hyperaldosteronism. Abernathy took no action.
July 28, 2021 – Nicole, frustrated, initiated search for a new PCP.

Dr. Abernathy didn’t just miss the signs — he buried them. He had imaging. He had history. He had patient-provided data. What he didn’t have was the will to investigate. In a network already geared toward discrediting Nicole’s medical reality, Abernathy played his part with quiet precision.
