Dr. Robert Evangelidis was Nicole’s attending hospitalist not once, but twice—first during her initial collapse from August 31 to September 7, 2019, and again during her post-coma hospitalization in December 2019. He continued NPO status initiated under the supervision of his boss, Lancer Gates—despite Nicole having no gallbladder and no feeding support—compounding her hepatic stress. He was directly responsible for her care following a botched ERCP, and he was present for the two STAT events that followed on September 3. Those events—now believed to be back-to-back lipid emboli—were manipulated in the record timeline and never properly worked up or documented.

Evangelidis played along. Instead of flagging the emboli or advocating for post-ERCP cardiac workup, he discharged her quietly, omitting key signs of injury. And when Nicole returned in December—in pain, confused, unable to ambulate—he treated her with prednisone (standard for autoimmune hepatitis) Which would quickly lead to Nicole developing a temporary stutter, but refused to document the diagnosis. He called it depression. He called it fibromyalgia. He called it anything but what it was.

This wasn’t ignorance. It was protectionism.
Evangelidis didn’t just fail. He assisted in the burial.

• August 31–September 7, 2019: Assumes care. Continues NPO status initiated under Lancer Gates. Nicole endures ERCP on September 3 followed by two STAT events—likely lipid emboli. Evangelidis fails to pursue cardiac evaluation, omits embolic injury from the chart, and discharges her without explanation or documentation.
   
• December 9–18, 2019: Oversees second hospitalization. Nicole presents with signs of hepatic encephalopathy, neurologic dysfunction, bile vomiting, and cardiac strain. Evangelidis does not acknowledge the hepatic coma or any prior complications from September.
• December 16: Brings in Rheumatologist Cameron Jones, reinforcing the false fibromyalgia narrative.
   
• December 16: Brings in psychiatrist Dr. James Trahan, reinforcing the false psychiatric narrative.
   
• December 17–18: Starts prednisone and steroid taper—clear AIH treatment—yet fails to document autoimmune hepatitis.
   
• December 18: Signs off on discharge summary listing fibromyalgia and major depressive disorder, burying the truth while denying her access to meaningful follow-up care.
