🕰️ KU Health Response Deadline

August 1, 2025 — 5:00 PM CT

Mr. Abdul Al Hamamsy claimed KU Health would respond “within the next 45 days.”
But let’s be clear: he doesn’t have that time.

📍 Under HIPAA §164.524, institutions must respond within 30 calendar days. They may take an extra 15 days — but only if they provide a written explanation within the first 30 days.

🛑 As of July 3, 2025, no such explanation has been provided.

So unless KU intends to break federal law, the true deadline remains:
August 1, 2025 at 5:00 PM CT.                                                                                                 ⏱️ The Clock Is Running
The countdown continues. The public is watching.
Tick-tock, Mr. Risk Management.

👤 Who is Abdul Al Hamamsy?

🎭 Nickname: “Becky 2.0” — Because KU couldn’t even be original in their deflection strategy.

Mr. Abdul Al Hamamsy is the Director of Claims and Risk Management for The University of Kansas Physicians — a role that places him at the very heart of institutional response and liability control.

He was personally delegated by KU Chancellor Douglas Girod following our June 25, 2025 outreach. His job?

Not to help.

To manage risk.

📬 What Did He Say?

On July 2, 2025, Mr. Al Hamamsy confirmed via email:

“We will review the care that was provided to Mrs. Henry at The University of Kansas Health System and provide a written response within the next 45 days.”

Let’s clarify what that actually means — and what it does not mean:

🔍 Clarifying Abdul’s “45 Days” Statement:

HIPAA §164.524 mandates a response within 30 calendar days.
An additional 15 calendar days may only be granted if the institution provides a written explanation within those first 30 days.

As of July 3, 2025, KU Health has provided no such explanation.

Therefore, the 45-day window Abdul referenced is not legally valid at this time.
The only enforceable deadline under federal regulation is:

🗓️ August 1, 2025 — 5:00 PM CT

Any attempt to delay beyond that without a formal, timely justification would constitute a violation of HIPAA’s patient access rules.

🔥 Public Accountability Is Now Active.

Abdul’s clock is ticking. The public is watching.
And his email is now a matter of public record.

Tick-tock, Mr. Risk Management.

🧩 Confused about “Becky 2.0”? Start here.

Before KU sent in Abdul Al Hamamsy, there was Becky Moburg — the original institutional deflection.
